Oils on stretched scaffolding netting.
90 x 110 cm.
2020.
As a former painter, the rectangle is a really appealing shape to me. Likewise, I wanted to make a 2D piece with the scaffolding netting, seeing ‘the painting’ (the object) as the ultimate use of the reused materials, after having used it previously for Synthetic Waters.
Here I stretched the scaffolding netting onto a stretcher. This piece will evolve into Scaffolding Windows, where the materials are reduced to the minimum.
